![]() I am one of those players that turns the music volume to a lower ambient hum while I play. It was good but the level design and game play is what really drew me to System Shock. I dont really feel the music is fully what made the game great or iconic. ![]() My personal preference is more ambient TBH. There are some tracks I love and others that I dont. Which happened to be my favourite of the original tracks. With the exception of a few of the more ambient ones. However, it is still far more ambient than most of the tracks in the original. To be honest we have not heard much beyond a few early tracks. So, while the music has been changed overall the DNA seems to be intact in a lot of yet different at the same time. And as far as level design and tone, for the most part, is far closer to the original than the RE 2 remake as far as I remember. The System Shock remake is no different in that respect. ![]() It is a pretty similar scenario to the RE 2 remake which had very different tracks but still was very true to the original in tone in my opinion.
